Man sentenced on criminal sex charges

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Onondaga County man who was arrested in Hawaii on charges in the Syracuse area is headed to prison. Brantley Carroll, 50, was arrested in Waikiki on February 1st. Police say he was hiding there while wanted on various criminal sex charges.

Once he was brought back to Onondaga County, Carroll pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree criminal sexual act. Thursday, he was sentenced to seven years in prison and five years of post-release supervision on each count. Those sentences will be served concurrently.

The victim was also given an order of protection against Carroll, and he will have to register as a sex offender.
