FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A former director of a youth center in the Adirondacks has been convicted of raping a 13-year-old girl.

On Wednesday, a Franklin County Court jury found Michael Scaringe, 61, guilty of second degree rape, second degree sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Scaringe was arrested in January of 2010, shortly after taking the director position at the Saranac Lake Youth Center.
