Two charged with rape of minor in Granby

OSWEGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two Phoenix residents were arrested after sheriff's deputies say they raped a victim under the age of 17. Officials say Jeffrey Pitre, 38, and Awenha Pitre, 32, raped the victim on multiple occasions at a home in the Town of Granby.

They say the incidents with Jeffrey Pitre took place in April and May of this year. He is charged with four counts of rape, two counts of criminal sex act, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of sexual abuse.

Two incidents with Awenha Pitre allegedly happened in May. She is charged with two counts of rape and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Both are being held in Oswego County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
