SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- In Syracuse, reaction to the Supreme Court ruling is mixed. At a rally in front of the Federal Building, the group Health Care for All New York celebrated the decision with a rally. They say the law is not perfect, but takes a major step forward for getting all Americans covered.
Among the biggest concerns for a lot of people though, is how and who ends up paying for mandated insurance.
"It's a great foundation for moving forward, you know, the law still remains in place, so that means that we are in the same place. And to be quite honest, this is probably the best that we've been for a while, so we're still at the same place in the race, and we have an opportunity to keep moving forward," said Lanika Mabrey, Citizen Action Community Health Care Advocate.
"I don't want to pay for it. I don't want my children to pay for it. I don't want my parents to pay for it. It becomes one's own accountability," said Syracuse resident Pat Nolan.
