SKANEATELES, NY. -- One of the oldest buildings in Skaneateles is now open to extended stays for visitors to the area.
The Old Stone Mill on Fennell Street has been converted into luxury rental condominiums. It is now the Old Stone Mill Inn and is operated by the Sherwood Inn.
The old flour mill is 195 years old, but you wouldn't know it by looking inside. The units are fully furnished and geared toward those looking to stay in the area for a couple of weeks.
"This is a big vacation area. Families come in here and there really aren't that many rooms. There are also some nice corporations that are looking for their executives to come in and out of town for one or two weeks at a time," said Sam Mason.
The Sherwood Inn expects the units to be fully rented through Labor Day.
