Two injured in overnight shootings

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse police are investigating two shootings that injured two people.

The first shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on Albert Terrace. Police say Adeer Nuwman, 24, was shot in the right leg and taken to Upstate University Hospital. His injuries were not life threatening. Police say Nuwman was uncooperative with officers, and they are still looking for the suspect.

The second shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. at the corner of Garfield and East Borden avenues. Police say Marcus Lyles, 25, was shot in the arm and ankle. He was also taken to Upstate with non life threatening injuries. Police say Lyles was also not cooperating, but witnesses told police there were two people involved in the shooting.

If anyone has any information about either shooting, call Syracuse Police at (315) 442-5222. All calls will be kept confidential.
