Nine taken to hospital after crash
GEDDES, N.Y. -- The wet, slippery conditions may have contributed to a crash on Interstate 690 that sent nine people to the hospital.
A car and SUV collided near the John Glenn Boulevard Exit on 690 East. Geddes Police say six children and two adults were in the SUV. All were taken to the hospital for evaluation, as was the other driver. None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, but police do say they issued the driver of the SUV a ticket for having more people in the vehicle than seat belts.
