ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Once again there were many unhappy fans leaving the State Fair Box Office on Saturday morning. Tickets for the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival went on sale at 9:00 a.m., and 12 hours before that, people were already lining up in hopes of landing a front row seat. Unfortunately that didn't happen, even for the first people in line, because they said the box office did not open on time.
Three weeks ago, a computer glitch at 9:00 a.m. caused fans at the box office to lose out on the best seats for the Jason Aldean and Keith Urban concerts. It is not clear if there was an issue this time around, but it is clearly frustrating for the fans.
"Last night they said we were going to get advanced sale a half hour before they went online. This morning it was a big joke to everyone. It was like they thought it was funny that we were going to get tickets after the online people," said Benjamin Dorion, who waited 12 hours to get tickets.
"I waited 12 hours trying to get front row seats for my girlfriend and me, front row seats. Shinedown is both of our favorite bands, it just kind of sucks to wait 12 hours and not even be able to get that," said David Nagle, who also waited in line.
The fans we spoke with said if they do buy tickets again, they are just going to buy them online.
