Bicyclist killed in crash with car in Manlius

Manlius police are investigating a deadly crash between a bicycle and a car. It happened around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Fremont Road and Kirkville Road. YNN's Brad Vivacqua reports.

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. – Manlius police are investigating a deadly crash between a bicycle and a car. It happened around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Fremont Road and Kirkville Road in the town of Manlius.

Police say a bicyclist heading north on Fremont Road was hit by a vehicle going west on Kirkville Road. They say the bicyclist was thrown off of the bike and was severely hurt.

Police say the bicyclist was taken to University Hospital, and died. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The accident is still under investigation.
