LIVERPOOL, N.Y. - Age and experience appeared to make a big difference in the first round of the Babe Ruth 16-18 Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament on Thursday as the Onondaga West All-Stars routed the younger Onondaga East All-Stars 9-2.
The West squad features 11 college players while the East team only has high schoolers.
West advances to face the Metro New York representative Friday at 1 p.m. at Hopkins Road Complex in Liverpool while East will play an elimination game with Delaware at 1 p.m. at Van Duyn Field in Syracuse.
