SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A music and food favorite is back in Syracuse this weekend. The New York State Blues Festival got underway Friday in Clinton Square.

The three day event features more than 25 bands, food and craft beer. The goal of the festival is to preserve blues music and culture while showcasing some of the best blues bands in the country.

"People hear blues and they think it's limited. There's such a wide variety of styles and influences and cultures and regions, that there's something different all weekend," said Michael DeLaney of The Super Delinquents.

Admission is $10 and weekend and VIP passes are available.
