CAZENOVIA, N.Y. -- A federal prosecutor faces charges after a party at his Cazenovia home.

Craig Benedict is an assistant U.S. Attorney. The Madison County Sheriff's office says Benedict was holding a graduation party for his child over the weekend when they received a complaint for a loud party and an assault. The sheriff's office says between 100 to 200 people were at the party.

Benedict was charged with second degree criminal nuisance and was issued an appearance ticket. The incident is still under investigation.
