SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse University and the Big East have come to an agreement, allowing SU to join the Atlantic Coast Conference in July 2013. The University is paying the Big East a 7.5 million dollars exit fee to vacate the Big East a year early. SU is one of the Big Easts' founding members, it has been a member for 34 years.
