SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- There was plenty of pizza to go around at the Samaritan Center in Syracuse. Little Caesars brought their "Love Kitchen" to town, to serve up pizza and wings to approximately 300 people in need.
The traveling charity operation goes all over the country supporting disaster areas and homeless shelters and both volunteers and those in charge say a little love goes a long way.
"I think it's important because it lets the community know that people care, that they're willing to donate all this free food and they like pizza and they like wings. I think it's a very good idea," said Brenda Mims, Assistant Operations Manager for Samaritan Center.
"They're very appreciative. They've giving meals and just today somebody told me they haven't had a pizza in 15 years. So that's a great feeling to give to people," said Scott Wanke, Little Caesars Director of Operations for the Syracuse area.
The Little Caesars Love Kitchen will continue their Upstate tour throughout the week. They plan to be in Binghamton and Cortland later this week.
