SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse's Hancock International Airport is getting a bit of a lift from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced Thursday that the airport will receive around $2 million in funds for facility upgrades. The grant money will mostly go toward replacing entrance and exit road signage.
The FAA has also recently approved funding to install new LED information boards throughout those roads. They say the project should make it easier for some one million incoming passengers to get out and back into the airport
