ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A horse was hurt after the trailer it was riding in caught fire. It happened Friday morning on the Thruway just outside of Liverpool.

There were other horses in the trailer, but they were not injured.

There is no word yet what sparked the fire.

Traffic on the Thruway was slowed for a while as crews put out the fire and tended to the animals.
