Stanley Cup coming to Ithaca this weekend

ITHACA, N.Y. -- If you're a hockey fan, you'll want to be in Ithaca Saturday. That's the day LA Kings captain Dustin Brown is bringing the Stanley Cup back to his hometown.

Brown will be at Ithaca High School Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be held on the school’s football field.

If you want a photo with the Stanley Cup or a signed championship photo, you're asked to donate $5 toward the Semper Fi Fund, which helps Marines in need. There is also a chance to win signed mini Stanley Cups. Raffle tickets for that are $5 a piece, or $20 for five.

In a statement sent out on Sunday, Brown says he's "extremely excited to share this experience with the people and town of Ithaca and raise money for a cause very close to him and his family."
