ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Manlius Police say that the driver that hit a teen riding his bike earlier this month was following the rules of the road.

It accident happened July 10th at the intersection of Kirkville and Freemont roads in Manlius.

Austin Elmore, 17, was riding his bike to East Syracuse-Minoa High School when he was hit and killed.

Police say their investigation shows the driver was not speeding and did not violate any other traffic laws.

No tickets have been issued at this time.

Police are still waiting on toxicology reports, but it is not believed that the driver or Elmore were impaired.
