UTICA, N.Y. -- Just as another suspect did before him, a 31-year-old Utica man pleaded not guilty to the 2011 death of Anthony Garner.

Octavius Garrett has been charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of Garner. He entered his not guilty plea Tuesday morning.

Another man, Marshall Jackson, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison when he was found guilty of charges related to the murder earlier this year. Surveillance video played during that trial showed Jackson and two other men chase and attack Garner before he was fatally shot.
