SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Maybe it's because they've only won ten conference games in the last seven years, but the Orange footballers didn't seem very bummed out about leaving the Big East when we talked to them at Media Day in Newport on Tuesday.

Since winning a share of their last Big East title in 2004, Syracuse has had one or fewer conference wins in six of the last seven years, including their fifth 1-and-6 record in the last six seasons in 2011.

Head coach Doug Marrone never played or coached in the Big East until coming back to the ‘Cuse three years ago, so he has no emotional attachment to the league which SU will leave behind for the ACC next year.

Orange report Saturday and hold their first practice Monday.
