SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner kicked off her annual public meeting series Thursday night.
Miner listened to the concerns of those living in the Tipperary Hill neighborhood. They discussed everything from construction to the recent crime that has been going on in the area.
Miner said, "We've had a crime spree in the last 24 hours in the Tipp Hill neighborhood. We talked about the fact that it was very unusual, but numbers and these kinds of things drive our resource decisions and so the Tipp Hill neighborhood is going to have more police protection.”
Miner's next meeting will be held at Thornden Park next Tuesday, August 7th at 6:30 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to arrive an hour early to help with cleanup efforts at the park.
