TUCSON, AZ -- The man accused of killing six people and wounding former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is expected to plead guilty today. That could happen if a judge finds Jared Loughner competent to enter a plea.
Loughner had earlier pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges. But a court order suggests Loughner's attorneys plan to change that plea at a hearing today.
Giffords was one of 13 people wounded in the shooting. She has since retired from Congress.
