WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. -- If you're headed to this weekend's NASCAR race at Watkins Glen, State Police are warning you to leave the high speeds to the professionals. Troopers say they'll be targeting speeding and other traffic violations as part of an enforcement campaign called “Speed Week.”
The enforcement effort covers a seven county region and runs through Sunday, the day of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the Glen.
State Police say every available trooper will be on patrol this week to crack down on speeders, impaired drivers, and distracted drivers.
