Fulton man arrested for child sex abuse
FULTON, N.Y. -- A Fulton man has been accused of sexually assaulting a child.
Fulton Police arrested John Heaphy, 39, for allegedly engaging in multiple sex acts with a child under 13 years of age over the course of three years. Police say the abuse happened regularly during that time at homes in the City of Fulton and Town of Granby.
Heaphy has been charged with two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, first degree course of sexual conduct and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held without bail.
Meanwhile, Fulton Police are continuing their investigation. They urge anyone with information about the abuse to call their TIPS line at (315) 593-TIPS.
