HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Herkimer County man was arrested for choking a woman and doing it in front of children. Police say Brian Cotton, 30, of Dolgeville was fighting with his girlfriend, and placed his hand around her throat. They say their children were present at the time.

Cotton is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child.
