MANLIUS, N.Y. -- Police are investigating two bank robberies in the Fayetteville-Manlius area over the last two days, and they believe the same man may be responsible for both. Investigators said a man robbed the M&T Bank branch on East Genesee Street in Fayetteville just after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

He was wearing a dark suit jacket and pants, a light colored hoodie, a ball cap, and a light multi-colored scarf wrapped around his head. The man demanded money from employees and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the suspect appears to be the same man who stole cash from the SECNY Credit Union on Fayette Street in Manlius on Friday afternoon. Nobody was hurt in either robbery. Police are now asking anyone with information on the robberies to call them at (315) 682-2212.
