AUBURN, N.Y. -- Auburn police are reaching out to the public for help as they search for a missing teen from the Elmira area. Police say Rockie Hoose, 16, voluntarily left the Cayuga Centers residential home in Auburn on August 7th.

Relatives have been in contact with Hoose over the telephone. He has not told them where he is but has told them he is okay.

Police believe Hoose is in either the Elmira or Rochester area.

He is described as 5’7” tall, weighing approximately 155 pounds. He has a tattoo of a cross on a chain on his left forearm.

Anyone with information on Hoose's whereabouts is asked to call Auburn Police at (315) 253-3231, or leave a tip online at www.Auburnpolice.com.
