ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- After three decades and more than 600 wins, the Cicero-North Syracuse softball coach is being let go.

Coach Kerry Bennett tells YNN that on Thursday, he was notified that he would not be re-appointed to the team. The decision is believed to be due to an ongoing investigation.

Bennett would not go into detail, but said accusations were made at a board meeting about an incident at the state competition. He says all of the facts are not yet known.

North Syracuse Superintendent Kim Dyce-Faucette would not confirm any details surrounding the dismissal, only saying that, "A decision has been made regarding the softball program" and they believe it is in the best interest of the program and the students.
