SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Fire damaged an apartment house in Syracuse. Crews were called to the State Street building around 9 a.m. Saturday.

Officials say the fire started in a finished attic at the rear of the building.

"Once we got the line up there it went pretty quick. Getting to the back was tough. The first line went up and had a lot of debris in the way, so our line that went up the rear stairs was able to get to the fire," said District Chief Terry Williams.

There were no reports of any injuries. Investigators are now looking into the cause of the fire.
