BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Rain put a damper on day one of the Dick's Sporting Goods Open, but it was nothing but blue skies on day two.

The weather brought out big crowds to the Champions Tour golf tournament at the En-Joie Golf Course Saturday and for those who came, admission was free! It was the fourth annual En-Joie the Day on HH&K, courtesy of Hinman, Howard and Kattel.

Since 2009, the Binghamton-based law firm has bought out the second day of the Dick's Open and offers free tickets to everyone.

Officials say this year was a huge success, with the biggest non-concert day crowd since the inception of the free day.

The firm says it's always trying to give back to the community and this year's event was even more important.

"Through the floods we had last year and the continued difficult economic times, I think the response itself has just been tremendous and it would cost a family of four over $100 to attend this event and today, they can do it on us for free," said HH&K Partner Jon Sarra.

Plans are already underway for next year's free day at the Open.

The tournament wraps up with the final round Sunday.
