CENTRAL NEW YORK -- The Food Bank of Central New York has found an exciting way to raise money in their ongoing efforts to end hunger in the community. They're auctioning off a ticket package donated by Bruce Springsteen.
Springsteen is scheduled to play at Vernon Downs on August 29th. The ticket package includes four tickets to the concert, and four passes to the E-Street Lounge where the highest bidder can relax before the show.
The community relations coordinator of the food bank says Springsteen is a long time supporter of food banks.
“Any kind of support we get from individuals from the community it just helps us towards our mission to ending hunger in the community. And this is a tremendous help and a very generous offer,” said Brian McManus, Community Relations Coordinator for Food Bank of Central New York.
Those who are interested can bid by email or phone, but all bidding ends on Friday the 24th at 9 a.m. sharp.
