VESTAL, N.Y. -- A popular Broome County karate training facility is on the market for close to $900,000. The dojo, located on Vestal Parkway West, is officially for sale for $875,000.

The dojo manager says the price includes an acre of land, and an optional acre for an additional $100,000.

Hidy Ochiai, who's been holding karate programs at the dojo for more than 25 years, will be using the facility for a bit longer, but will move his classes to 2508 Vestal Parkway East by the fall.

Ochiai estimated back in 2009 that half a million children had gone through his EKP program. Also as of 2009, he had 25 karate schools along the East Coast, but maintained his headquarters in Vestal, New York.
