SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A Syracuse man has been indicted on numerous charges after he allegedly hit a detective with a car during a larceny investigation.
Gavin Ballog, 22, has been charged with second degree assault, attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer, resisting arrest and third degree grand larceny. The charges stem from an incident back on July 26th, when a detective approached Ballog's vehicle at Drivers Village in Cicero. Police say the detective fired two shots at Ballog as he drove at him, but was eventually hit.
Two other people in the car, Edwin and Marcus Rodriguez, were also charged with third degree grand larceny.
