ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Liverpool man hit by a car in the Town of Clay has died.

The Onondaga County Sheriff's department confirms Michael Cardwell, 19, died after Tuesday's accident.

Cardwell was attempting to cross the road at the corner of Oswego Road and Redwing Drive around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when he walked into the path of a car.

We're told the driver had a green light, so they were not ticketed.
