SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The new Centro Transit Hub isn't opening quite yet, but officials did cut the ribbon on the facility Friday on South Salina Street.
The facility opens to the public September 4th, replacing the existing transfer station on the corners of Fayette and Salina streets.
The station will accommodate 22 Centro buses at once and will allow passengers to get on and off the bus out of the elements. It's also designed to help passengers conveniently find routes and information.
The transit hub was originally scheduled for completion this past June.
