Memorial held for Joe LaGuardia, a fair icon
Earlier this year, a Great New York State Fair icon died. Joe LaGuardia was the New York State Fair Marketing Director for 32 years before a change of directors forced him out in 2008. In May, he died of a rare blood disease. A memorial was held in his honor and the grandstand stage at the fair was dedicated to him on Friday. Our Katie Gibas spoke with friends and family about what this honor means.
