Police investigate robbery at Green Front Market
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse police are investigating a robbery that happened Sunday morning. It happened at the Green Front Market on Avery Avenue around 8:15 a.m.
Police say a man entered the store shortly after it opened, grabbed the clerk by the hair and forced her to open the register. He then ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash, and was last seen on Chemung Street. No weapon was shown, and the clerk was not hurt in the robbery.
The suspect is described at a man in his mid-20s, 5’9” tall, weighing about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, white t-shirt and tan shorts, with a white shirt covering his face.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Syracuse police.
