ESSEX COUNTY, N.Y. -- The second annual Adirondack Senior Tournament has returned to Lake Placid and on Tuesday, they held a special one day tournament to kick off the week.
The Pro-am is a charity event. Each team of three was given their own senior professional to play alongside. All proceeds from the tournament will go directly to a not-for-profit organization in Saranac Lake, called the Adirondack Carousel, which is working to promote the Adirondacks through educational programs and art.
Wednesday, the 54-hole professional tournament will begin, where the senior pros will compete for a $5,000 first prize.
Spectators are welcome all week, free of charge.
