CORTLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A McGraw man has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated following a crash in Cortland County.

State Troopers say Gary Strout Jr., 41, was driving a red Dodge Dakota east toward McGraw Wednesday afternoon when he collided head on with a red Volkswagen Passat driven by Janet Cochran, 55.

Cochran was pronounced dead at Cortland Regional Medical Center. Strout was treated and released.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
