VERNON, N.Y. -- It was a concert that lived up to the billing. The Boss, Bruce Springsteen rocked the crowd at Vernon Downs Wednesday night, playing for close to three hours.
Some of the diehard fans had been waiting since early Wednesday morning, for one of the biggest events to come to the race track. Many had seen the Boss before but they paid the $108 ticket price because of his absolutely legendary showmanship.
"It's like an old friend. He speaks to everybody that's here today, Bruce speaks to them directly. It's a wonderful experience," said Claudia Held, just one of the many Springsteen Fans.
The show featured a number of songs from the Wrecking Ball album, Springsteen's 17th studio album.
