NEW YORK STATE FAIR -- There have been a lot of basketball games at the fair, but Wednesday's was truly unique.

Move Along Inc. sponsored the wheelchair basketball tournament at the Sports Activity Center. The tournament featured three teams from Utica, Syracuse and Rochester.

Organizers say being out at the fair is a great way to both showcase the sport and everything Move Along Inc. has to offer, including adapted kayaking, sled hockey and hand cycling.

"The disability is removed from the picture at that point. Yeah, the game's a little bit more difficult. But the whole opportunity we're trying to create is a similar opportunity an able-bodied individual would have in playing in sports for aerobic activity and exercise and someone's well-being," said Move Along Inc. Founder Greg Callen.

Next year, Move Along Inc.'s basketball team will be sanctioned with the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. That means they will be able to host even more teams for the tournament here at the fair.
