Police looking for teenaged stabbing suspect

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are searching for a teenager who stabbed a woman behind the Dominos on Harvard Place.

The 27-year-old victim told investigators that she was approached by a young man, approximately 16 or 17 years old, who tried to steal her vehicle. She says she hit the suspect with her fists to try to stop him and that's when he turned around and stabbed her three times.

The woman's injuries are not life threatening, but she was taken to Upstate University Hospital.

The suspect, who's described as being 5-foot-6 or 5-foot 7, was last seen wearing a grey shirt and dark pants, running on Westcott Street toward East Genesee Street.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.
