FRANKLIN COUNTY -- State police are investigating a crash in Franklin County that left a teenager dead.

It happened at the intersection of State Route 30 and County Route 28 in the Town of Malone around 6:00 pm on Wednesday.

Police said William Derochie II, 16, was driving an ATV when he failed to stop at an intersection and pulled into the path of a vehicle. Derochie was thrown from the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the vehicle was treated for minor injuries.
