SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- As part of Veterans Day at the fair, all veterans get in for free when they present their military papers or proper ID.

YNN visited the main gate on Thursday morning where some veterans were among the first to cross the turnstiles. Some said they appreciate that the fair designates a day just for them.

"I think it's great. It's an outstanding gesture by Dan O'Hara. And to have the veterans come in at no admission today, and for honoring all the veterans," said Veteran Mike LaNasa.
