Man arrested after firing gun in his home
BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man has been arrested after firing a rifle in his Broome County home.
Authorities say they responded to a home on Wilson Avenue in Endwell around 9:20 p.m. Thursday. They say William Yeager, 22, fired a shotgun in an upstairs bedroom through the walls and floor. His mother and sister were inside the home during the incident.
Officials say Yeager tried to flee, but was caught and taken into custody. He has been charged with first degree reckless endangerment.
