NEW YORK STATE FAIR -- In the Goat Tent, there was a friendly competition on Saturday morning. The Open Dairy Goat Show judged the animals on a number of things.
Their owners worked hard to get them here including bathing them, trimming their feet, and making them look as presentable as possible. Although this is a competition, exhibitors said there is a big camaraderie among them.
"Goat people do go to great extremes to help each other out. Often times if you have multiple animals in the ring at the same time, other competitors jump in and help you handle the animal. Its really a nice community of goat people," said Holly Phillips, Open Dairy Goat Show Exhibitor.
