UTICA, N.Y. - Utica College quarterback Andrew Benkwitt had an impressive start to his senior season on Saturday, throwing for 355 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-7 win over St. Lawrence.
Benkwitt, a fourth-year starter who already holds multiple program records at UC, completed 20 of 36 passes and was intercepted once, and he also rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown. Jeremy Meier reeled in six of Benkwitt's passes for 136 yards and Matt Dunn had five catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns.
The Pioneers' defense was just as dominant as the offense with three interceptions and four sacks.
