NY STATE FAIR -- As they say, all good things come to an end. This year, as we've been telling you, overall attendance has been down compared to the last few years. But you'd have to admit, some great weather has made it a very enjoyable year for everyone that has been able to make it out to the fairgrounds.
From the rides to the exhibits, today will be your last chance in 2012 to come and check out all there is to offer. Vendors are hoping that they can finish strong today being that Labor Day usually leads to a strong fair turnout. Officials say the fair is a great place to spend some time today if you're looking for something to do.
Some people we spoke to believe the crowds have been down due to fewer acts performing in the Grandstand this year.
"We're thinking that's the reason we're down a little bit. But we're still doing okay. And, we're hoping this Labor Day, it's the last chance for anybody to come and we're hoping for a big day Labor Day this year. The weather has been good, it’s been cooperating, and we're excited about that," said John Emmi, Emmi's Hots.
Emmi is now in his 35th year here at the fair, so he's certainly had some good and bad years.
Maybe you're coming here for the entertainment today, there’s the Demolition Derby at the Grandstand and a few good shows at Chevy Court.
