Man dies in motorcycle crash
FRANKFORT, N.Y. -- Police say it appears speed was a factor in a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Frankfort.
Officers say Jerry Jones, 55, was riding with two other bikers on Route 5S Sunday evening when he went off the road, struck a road marker and was thrown from his motorcycle.
Jones was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators spent four-and-a-half hours on the scene cleaning up debris and reconstructing the crash. They say witness accounts led them to believe speed played a role.
