SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Centro Transit Hub in downtown Syracuse officially opens today. The new facility on South Salina Street will accommodate 22 Centro buses.

It will allow passengers to wait for their buses inside or outside, and no more crossing the street to catch a transfer.

The $17 million project was expected to be completed in June, but officials needed to make substantial changes to the traffic patterns at the intersections around the facility.
